Catherine Awtrey, President and Owner, cawtrey@texasroof.com
Catherine Awtrey has been in the commercial roofing industry for over nine years. She became owner and president of Texas Roof Management seven years ago. Catherine earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Hillsdale College in Michigan. Prior to her involvement in the commercial roofing industry, Catherine founded Signature Image Consulting in Dallas, a design-consulting firm, and ran Signature Image very successfully for more than eight years. Catherine currently serves as a Board member of the North Texas Roofing Contractors Association. Additionally, Catherine is a member of the Master Mind Advisory Council, the National Association of Women Business Owners and the Kappa Kappa Gamma Alumni Association.

Wesley J. Werner, General Manager, Wesley@texasroof.com

Wesley, who holds a BA in Economics from Texas A&M University, joined Texas Roof Management in April of 2010, bringing to the Team a stellar history of accomplishments at such companies as Pace Services, Texas Industries, Monroc, Gulf Coast Concrete and Hydro-Conduit Corporation.  At these and other companies as well, Wesley developed long-term business plans which achieved notable growth and created new markets and capacity.  Wesley is a proven skilled leader, having turned around unprofitable divisions and recaptured lost accounts for several large construction and production companies with multi-state operations.   A strategic planner, Wesley is now reviewing all Texas Roof Management operations, with an eye toward cost savings for our clients and safety enhancements for our crews.  Using his honed tactical thinking and production development capabilities, Wesley has grasped the company’s mission and has put in place new benchmarks for the future of Texas Roof Management.  Indeed, Wesley and the entire TRM Team are moving rapidly toward expanding business opportunities and putting in place the steps required to realize the newly-formulated long term plans for the company. 


Eddie Laws, Senior Project Manager, eddie@texasroof.com
Eddie Laws has been with Texas Roof Management since July of 2007. He has been in the commercial roofing industry over 38 years during which time he worked his way up through the field ranks at five large regional roofing firms. The bulk of Eddie’s experience has been working on some of the largest roofing projects in the southwest United States, where he has honed and fine tuned his skills at organizing logistics, establishing and maintaining quality control standards, trouble shooting, and managing difficult, high profile and complex roofing projects. Eddie’s experience and attention to the smallest of details ensures that all Texas Roof Management projects are effectively managed, well organized and run smoothly from inception to completion.

Paul Walden, Project Manager, Paul@texasroof.com

Paul Walden joined the Texas Roof Management Team in July of 2009.  Paul brings to the company over 6 years of commercial roofing experience.  Paul has a well-rounded background and knowledge of all types of commercial roofing, with extensive single ply experience.  Prior to joining Texas Roof, Paul supervised reroof projects, as well as new construction projects in excess of $2 million.  Paul has supervised commercial roofing projects in Kansas, Mississippi, Pennsylvania, Texas and Virginia.  At Texas Roof Management, Paul will partner with new and established clients when reroofing is required.  Inspecting, analyzing and preparing a scope and pricing for each new roof, making sure it is the right roof and the right fit for the property, are areas where Paul’s knowledge and expertise put Texas Roof Management ahead of its competition.

Charles McKamie, Estimator/Project Manager, Charles@texasroof.com

Charles McKamie has over 45 years of experience within the commercial roofing industry.  Charles joined Texas Roof Management as an Estimator in January of 2010.    Prior to that, Charles owned and operated his own roofing contracting business from 1973 through 2008, and was Certified with Tamko, Hyload, AEP Span, MBCI, Epoxyflex Coatings, Flex International and was a GAF Certified Master Contractor.  In 2004, his company was voted the number one metal roofing contractor in the U.S. by AEP Span.  Additionally, his company won several first place awards given through Roofing, Siding and Insulation magazine.  Charles’ roofing company completed jobs primarily throughout Texas, most notable of which were the $1.4 million project in Marble Falls, and local projects such as the Plaza of the Americas, the Apparel Mart and Valley View Mall.  Charles is knowledgeable in all types of commercial roofing applications, making him an invaluable asset to Texas Roof Management.

Jeff Martin, Field Coordinator, Jeff@texasroof.com

Jeff Martin joined Texas Roof Management in June of 2010.  During his over 20 years in the commercial roofing industry, Jeff’s prior accomplishments have been primarily in the areas of Service and Reroofing.  He also has an extensive background in estimating and sales.  Jeff has served as a roofing foreman, project manager and as the branch manager of an Omaha, Nebraska roofing company.  He brings to the Texas Roof Management Team years of experience in preparing scopes of work and specifications, ordering materials and managing and leading large crews on projects up to $10 million.  Jeff’s strong knowledge of safety equipment and OSHA requirements will add depth to Texas Roof Management’s current safety program.  He believes strongly in open communication, and will be instrumental in elevating our customer service level.  Jeff has a number of sales objectives in mind as well, and with a sharp eye to details, an affinity toward quality and meeting deadlines, no doubt he will succeed.

David Vergenz, Service Manager, Dvergenz@texasroof.com

David Vergenz has been with Texas Roof Management since May of 1996 and has over 25 years of experience in the commercial roofing industry. David is responsible for the day-to-day service operations, managing several crews dedicated solely to repair work. As such, he is responsible for the scheduling, supervising, inspecting and billing of all commercial roofing work and repairs performed. Additionally, David conducts routine safety inspections. His experience and daily supervision are key to the excellent quality control within the Service Department.

Greg Reed, Inspector/Estimator
Greg Reed joined the Texas Roof Management team in May of 2006, and now has over 20 years of experience in commercial roof repair and service. His duties are primarily in the areas of roof inspections and estimating all commercial repair projects. Greg’s extensive experience and knowledge of the repair business provide two key components to Texas Roof Management’s commitment to quality control.

Paul Green became part of the Texas Roof Management Team in June of 2010.  He brings to TRM 29 years of experience in all types of commercial roofing, with a particular focus on sheet metal roofing and wall panel systems.  Paul adds a level to Texas Roof Management’s in-house sheet metal department which will enable TRM to provide our clients with a large array of roofing and wall panel systems, as well as an even greater level of proficiency and efficiency in that area of the company’s business.  Prior to joining Texas Roof Management, Paul managed projects up to $3.5 million, providing contract review and negotiation, system design, product pricing and purchasing, supervision of field personnel and final project review.  Paul is a highly skilled project manager, who applies his years of experience and expertise to achieve positive results.  Paul’s goals for the Sheet Metal Department include an increase in productivity, with a focus on competitive pricing, while making sure that customer satisfaction remains the highest priority. 

linda Jackson, CPM®, RPA , linda@texasroof.com

linda Jackson joined Texas Roof Management in October of 2008. linda brings to the TRM Team her strong sense of customer service and follow through, as well as an enthusiasm for the creative and marketing aspects of our business.   She first helped to write and complete our website, and then moved on to focus on our various marketing activities.  linda previously had been in the retail property management field for 26 years, 14 years as a retail and mall property manager.  Thereafter, linda served as the executive director of the retail property management divisions of both Cencor Realty Services and Lincoln Property Company.  During her career in property management, linda wrote many letters to her vendors for jobs well done.  What she is most proud of now is the fact that she is employed by the only roofing vendor in all those years to whom she wrote letters of appreciation!

Iinda is very active within the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM).  She has contributed in various capacities and received many awards both nationally and locally.  linda was President of the Dallas Chapter in 2004, and most recently, in December 2009, was honored with the President’s Award for her long and distinguished service to the Dallas IREM Chapter. linda currently holds a position on the Dallas IREM Executive Council, as well as positions on IREM’s National Ethics and Discipline Committee and the Governing Council.

Patricia Elliott, Office Manager, patti@texasroof.com
Patti Elliott has been an integral part of the Texas Roof Management team since November 1996. She brings to the table over 30 years of accounting experience, including all aspects of office management, personnel, accounts receivable and payable and financial reporting. Patti also has experience in networking and Internet publications. Her roles at Texas Roof are many and diverse, i.e., customer support, documentation, compliance, human resources, information technology and purchasing operations. Prior to her employ at Texas Roof Management, Patti worked for a computer software company for 13 years, achieving the position of Controller.
