Our History

We at Texas Roof Management are very proud of our heritage and especially proud of our founder, Wayne Awtrey. 

At all times, and at all costs, Wayne kept his eye on his primary goals .. which were to ensure that the service given to each customer could always be depended upon and that all his employees had a secure job.   Goals that go hand in hand.  And Wayne was driven to accomplish those goals.  Wayne Awtrey was a firm believer in earning the respect and loyalty of his customers through continuous exceptional service, knowing that accomplishing that goal would naturally lead to steady employment for his crews and staff. 

Wayne Awtrey … Texas Roof Management … Excellent and Reliable Service

All were synonymous.

Wayne’s clients became his family and friends.  Everyone who knew Wayne was always pleased with a personal visit.  He was a warm and friendly kind of guy … very easy to talk to, and you could tell that he genuinely cared about you and whatever your topic of conversation was.  His smile came quickly.  His laughter came easily. 

We lost Wayne in 2003, so unexpectedly that the shock remains with us still.  Everyone on the Texas Roof Management Team is touched whenever someone talks about Wayne.  We smile and take it all in, thankful that his memory is still very much alive for those people he had encountered along the way.  We think of him often, and are happy when others share their memories with us.  

When we lost Wayne, his wife, Catherine, stepped in.  She worked in every department and went out on jobs with the service crews and re-roof teams.  Catherine Awtrey learned the business from every angle.  Today, Catherine is active in all daily operations at Texas Roof Management and also serves on several boards within the industry. 

It just couldn’t have been easy for Catherine, on so many levels, but Catherine knows, just as we know … Wayne is always near and watching over all of us. 

Wayne’s memory will long live in our hearts.  Oh yes, we at Texas Roof Management are proud of our heritage, and especially proud of our founder, Wayne Awtrey.
