Waterproofing

Waterproofing is the treatment of a surface in order to prevent the passage of water under hydrostatic pressure. Texas Roof Management uses sealants, coatings and a variety of other waterproofing products that are available to accomplish this task.

Plaza Decks/Green Roofs

Plaza or terrace decks consist of a waterproof roof membrane, drainage mats, filter fabrics and a protection board to form a protected watertight system. This waterproof system is then typically covered with either decorative pavers, tile or poured concrete, turning the roof over occupied space into a usable living space suitable for pedestrian traffic.

Green roofs typically consist of a waterproof roof membrane, drainage mat, filter fabrics, an anti-root mat and protection boards to form a complete watertight protected system. The waterproofing system is then partially or completely covered with soil, or a growing medium, and native vegetation. The term ‘green roof’ may also be used to indicate roofs that utilize some form of “green” technology, such as solar panels or photovoltaic modules.

Sealant Replacement

Replacement of a multitude of materials used to seal joints or junctures against moisture and weather. Texas Roof Management replaces aging sealants in joints to maintain the building’s watertight integrity.
